Perry Beeches Masters swim team have\u00a0managed to\u00a0finish\u00a0\u00a02013\u00a0of\u00a0\u00a0in style,\u00a0by claiming 7 gold\u2019s at IX Etwell Masters Meet held at the Queens Centre pool in Derby last weekend<\/sup><\/p>\n

The beeches team competed against 44 others team from around the England \u00a0as the last big Masters swimming competition of the year.<\/sup><\/p>\n

The<\/sup>\u00a0swimmers\u00a0that travelled \u00a0to\u00a0Derby were Jenny Powell, Steve Dunn, Ross Emery, Rebecca Smith, Claire Thorn and Angelika\u00a0McDonald…<\/b><\/sup><\/p>\n

Over the \u00a0day of the meet ,\u00a0<\/sup><\/b>The beeches SIX produced some amazing performances both individually and as part of Beeches relays\u00a0teams , they eventually \u00a0came away from the pool at the end of day<\/sup><\/b><\/p>\n

\u00a0with 7 gold\u2019s, 6 slivers,\u00a0Plus another two silver medal performances in the ladies freestyle and medley relays both times loosing the gold by less than second to the City of Derby Swimming Club ladies team…<\/sup><\/b><\/p>\n

Overall it was great team effort\u00a0which\u00a0\u00a0<\/sup><\/b>as\u00a0a\u00a0result\u00a0meant\u00a0\u00a0Beeches\u00a0had\u00a0been\u00a0\u00a0placed 8th in the team competition out ofthe\u00a044 masters club\u00a0that\u00a0competed \u00a0<\/sup><\/p>\n

, \u00a0special note of well done\u00a0must\u00a0\u00a0go to \u00a0Angelika and Steve who were taking\u00a0part in\u00a0their 1st\u00a0\u00a0swimming events in over 20 years….<\/sup><\/b><\/p>\n

The\u00a0Perry\u00a0\u00a0Beeches masters team \u00a0now\u00a0numbers over\u00a020 members ranging in ages from 20`s to<\/sup><\/b>\u00a050`s is looking forward to great 2014..why\u00a0not\u00a0pop down and have a swim just for fun or maybe\u00a0 even\u00a0to race.,<\/sup><\/p>\n
