Perry Beeches Swimmer Paul Bates, \u00a0last weekend joined 10,000 other Swimmers a<\/b>t the UKs and Europe biggest open water swimming event The Great North Swim.<\/b><\/p>\n

The event took place at thee most iconic open water venue in country Lake Windermere…<\/b><\/p>\n

The Great North Swim \u00a0event runs over 3 days ( 13th<\/sup>\u00a0to 15th<\/sup>\u00a0June ) There are a few different event \u00a0distances to choose \u00a0from. The \u00a0\u00bd mile and 1 mile events are the most popular ones ,<\/b>then comes the 2 mile and 5k distances For the more adventurous . \u00a0<\/b><\/p>\n

Paul \u00a0took part in the two mile distance race and produced a fabulous Swim of 44.35 for the 2 miles \u00a0, which resulted \u00a0in him \u00a0claiming second place in 45-49 age group and 14th<\/sup>\u00a0place overall out of 1400+ \u00a0Swimmers who did the \u00a0two mile distance event .<\/b><\/p>\n

The Beeches Swimmer’s next open water race is the big Cotswold 4 mile Swim in two weeks \u00a0time – good luck to Paul from everyone at Beeches for the next one!<\/b><\/p>\n
