Teams must be 2 male and 2 female swimmers and can swim in any order.<\/span><\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p align=\"left\"><span style=\"color: #000000;\">Teams for Mixed Freestyle Cannon Relay will consist of six swimmers (3 Female &amp; 3 Male swimmers) with a combined age of 210 years or over.<\/span><\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p align=\"left\"><span style=\"color: #000000;\">A prize of 1 free relay swim in next years competition will be awarded to each winning team in the relay events.<\/span><\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p align=\"left\"><span style=\"color: #000000;\">A prize will be made to the top 3 male &amp; female swimmers achieving the most points in each age group. The sum of the points from each individual\u2019s best results in each of the four strokes plus the Individual Medley to decide the top swimmer, in the event of a tie, the result from the Individual Medley will act as a \u201ctie breaker\u201d.<\/span><\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p align=\"left\"><span style=\"color: #000000;\">The prizes this year will be: Swimmer achieving the highest number of points in each age group (Male &amp; Female): 5 free swims in next years competition, second highest points scorer: 3 free swims and third highest points scorer 1 free swim.<\/span><\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p align=\"left\"><span style=\"color: #000000;\">To check for eligibility to claim discounts as a prize from the previous years competition refer to the \u2018top swimmers\u2019 on the results, <\/span> <a href=\"http:\/\/www.icklepeoplesoftware.co.uk\/forms\/results_eesc.htm\" target=\"_blank\"><span style=\"color: #000000;\">click<\/span><\/a><span style=\"color: #000000;\"> here to access the results. (All prize winners will also receive a certificate).<\/span><\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p align=\"left\"><span style=\"color: #000000;\">The top visiting club award will go to the club with the highest total of points from the gala and points will be awarded for individuals and relay teams.<\/span><\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p align=\"left\"><span style=\"color: #000000;\">Points to be awarded as follows :- 1<sup>st<\/sup> 6 points \/ 2<sup>nd<\/sup> 5 points \/ 3<sup>rd<\/sup> 4 points \/ 4<sup>th<\/sup> 3 points \/ 5<sup>th<\/sup> 2 points \/ 6<sup>th<\/sup> and any swimmer or team who legally finishes their event 1 point.<\/span><\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p align=\"left\"><span style=\"color: #000000;\">A top \u2018non midland\u2019 club award will also be presented.<\/span><\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p align=\"left\"><span style=\"color: #000000;\">The Paul Alderson trophy will be awarded for the best swim in the 50m fly, judged on the basis of British Swimming Decathlon Points.<\/span><\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p align=\"left\"><span style=\"color: #000000;\">A trophy will be presented to the individual who breaks a meet record by the biggest margin (in percentage terms). For the current meet records <\/span> <a href=\"http:\/\/www.icklepeoplesoftware.co.uk\/forms\/paperwork\/results\/eesc\/Etwall_Meet_Records.pdf\"><span style=\"color: #0000ff;\">click<\/span><\/a><span style=\"color: #000000;\"> here.<\/span><\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p align=\"left\"><span style=\"color: #000000;\">Entries will be accepted on a first come first serve basis &amp; restrictions on numbers will be applied if required.<\/span><\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p align=\"left\"><span style=\"color: #000000;\">All entries must be on the official entry form or using the on-line entry form (on-line entry is only considered received once payment has also be received).<\/span><\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p align=\"left\"><span style=\"color: #000000;\">Late entries may be accepted at the discretion of the promoter, however please note maximum numbers have been reached in previous years.<\/span><\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p align=\"left\"><span style=\"color: #000000;\">Confirmed entries will be published on www.icklepeoplesoftware.co.uk website soon after the closing date. Confirmation of entries will be by e-mail, unless no e-mail address is provided and an SAE is included.<\/span><\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p align=\"left\"><span style=\"color: #000000;\">Warm-up for both sessions will be split, session one will be 9:00am &#8211; 9:30am Mixed, 9:30am &#8211; 9:50am Female, 9:50am &#8211; 10:10am Male. Session two will be advised. <\/span><\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p align=\"left\"><span style=\"color: #000000;\">Anything not covered in the above to be at the discretion of the promoter.<\/span><\/p>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p align=\"left\"><span style=\"color: #000000;\"><u><b><span style=\"font-size: large;\">Invitational Skins Conditions <\/span><\/b><\/u><\/span><\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>\n<p align=\"left\"><span style=\"color: #000000;\">This \u2018Skins Event\u2019 will be a continuous competition commencing with 6 competitors and over a continuous series of races over a distance of 25m. One competitor to be eliminated in each round until a winner is determined. Races in each competition will take place following an interval of 2 minutes from the start of the previous race.<\/span><\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p align=\"left\"><span style=\"color: #000000;\">Separate Skins competitions will be held for Male and Female swimmers.<\/span><\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p align=\"left\"><span style=\"color: #000000;\">Prizes will be awarded to the Male and Female winners.<\/span><\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p align=\"left\"><span style=\"color: #000000;\">The competitors for each Skins event shall be the SIX swimmers with the quickest recorded times from the 50m Breaststroke (events 4 &amp; 5), these will be the 6 quickest swimmers regardless of age. <\/span><\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p align=\"left\"><span style=\"color: #000000;\">Should a qualifying swimmer not wish to compete in the Skins event then the next quickest swimmer from events shown is 4. above will be invited to compete and so on until all 6 places have been allocated.<\/span><\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p align=\"left\"><span style=\"color: #000000;\">Lanes will be allocated on the basis of \u2018spearheading\u2019. Swimmers are required to swim in their allocated lane whilst they remain in the competition until the final race. The remaining two swimmers will occupy the centre lanes.<\/span><\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p align=\"left\"><span style=\"color: #000000;\">The stroke for each individual race will be by random draw from a choice of Freestyle, Breaststroke, Butterfly and Backstroke. The draw for the stroke to be contested in the first round to be undertaken by the Referee. Draws for subsequent rounds will be by the swimmer eliminated from the previous round.<\/span><\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p align=\"left\"><span style=\"color: #000000;\">Each race will commence in accordance with ASA Swimming Rules governing the Start of the selected stroke. Each race shall be over a distance of 25m.<\/span><\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p align=\"left\"><span style=\"color: #000000;\">Subsequent rounds will start at the starting end of the pool, following an interval of 2 minutes from the previous Start. For Backstroke rounds competitors will start in the water with both hands holding the starting grips.<\/span><\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p align=\"left\"><span style=\"color: #000000;\">In all races swimmers are required to comply with the FINA Swimming Rules regarding Stroke and Finish conditions \u2013 failure to do so will lead to elimination by disqualification.<\/span><\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p align=\"left\"><span style=\"color: #000000;\">The slowest competitor in each round shall be eliminated \u2013 unless a competitor has been eliminated by disqualification, in which case the slowest competitor remains in the competition.<\/span><\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p align=\"left\"><span style=\"color: #000000;\">Any times achieved by swimmers will not to be used for any other purpose at the competition.
