Carys came 10th in the 12\/13 year age group, achieving a <em>Midland Qualifying time in the process<\/em>!<\/p>\n<p><strong>Jamie Keyte<\/strong>, who made the 50 Butterfly final in the 16\/over age group, winning a <strong>Bronze<\/strong> medal.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Joel Harris<\/strong> for making the 100 Breaststroke final in the 11\/under age group &#8211; coming 7th place in the final, but improving his time from his entry time.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Lewis Carless<\/strong> also made the 100 Breaststroke final in the 14\/under age group &#8211; finishing 8th place.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Becky Gulliver<\/strong> then made the 100 Freestyle final in the 14\/under age group, finishing in fifth place, improving both her time and finishing position from the heats.<\/p>\n<p>Next were the 10 &#8211; 12 year old girl relays. In the PB Black team were <strong>Aisha Guizani, Kianna Hughes, Isla Lawson and Carys Higgins<\/strong> &#8211; they finished 8th out of 13 teams. In the PB Red team were <strong>Lois Markham, Ella Gabbitas, Megan Russel and Isla Duerdin<\/strong> &#8211; they finished 12th out of 13 teams but gained some invaluable racing experience in a long course pool.<\/p>\n<p>Next relay were the 13 &#8211; 15 year old boys freestyle &#8211; <strong>Harvey Higgins, Lewis Carless, Musaab Khan and Jacob Dunn<\/strong> &#8211; they finished 9th out of 12 teams.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Harvey Higgins<\/strong> then made the 50 Freestyle in the 14\/under age group &#8211; winning <strong>Gold<\/strong> in this event.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Carys Higgins<\/strong> &#8211; not to be outdone by big brother Harvey, made the 50 Breaststroke final in the 12\/under age group &#8211; coming 7th place in the final, and also <em>achieving a Midland Qualifying time<\/em> \ud83d\ude42<\/p>\n<p>Then the 13- 15 year old boys were back for the medley relay &#8211; this time coming 8th out of 12 teams.<\/p>\n<p>Next to make a final was <strong>Becky Gulliver<\/strong> this time in the 100 Backstroke. Becky won <strong>Silver<\/strong> in this event, and also came third with a <strong>Bronze<\/strong> medal as the third fastest 15\/under at this year&#8217;s Warwicks.<\/p>\n<p>Next relay was the girls 10 &#8211; 12 years Medley relay team consisting of <strong>Ella Gabbitas, Kianna Hughes, Carys Higgins and Aisha Guizan<\/strong>i &#8211; they placed 10th out of 12 teams.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Jake Dunn<\/strong> was very happy to make the 50 Backstroke final in the 13\/under age group, placing 8th in the final.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Becky Gulliver<\/strong> then made the 50 Butterfly final in the 14\/unders, placing 5th in the final &#8211; again improving both her time and finishing position from the heats. <strong>Katie Gulliver<\/strong> also made the 50 Butterfly final in the 16 and overs, placing 6th in the final. <em>Katie also achieved the Midland time<\/em> in this event, and improved her time in the final from the time in the heat.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Carys Higgins<\/strong> then made the 100 Breaststroke final in the 12\/under age group, placing 5th in the final &#8211; improving her time in the final.<\/p>\n<p>Big brother <strong>Harvey Higgins<\/strong> then made the 100 Freestyle final in the 14\/under age group &#8211; winning <strong>Gold<\/strong> in this event. <strong>Lewis Carless<\/strong> was also in the same 100 Freestyle final &#8211; gaining a place on his entry position finishing 7th.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Becky Gulliver<\/strong> also made the 50 Freestyle final in the 14\/under age group &#8211; winning <strong>Gold<\/strong> in the final.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Joel Harris<\/strong> made the final of the 50 Breaststroke in the 11\/under age group &#8211; placing 6th in the final (gaining two places \ud83d\ude42 ) and breaking 46 seconds long course for the first time \ud83d\ude42<\/p>\n<p>Big thanks for <strong>Catrise and Trearna Hart<\/strong> for coming along for the Medley relay team in the 13 &#8211; 15 age group &#8211; along with <strong>Tegan Nolan and Becky Gulliver<\/strong> &#8211; they placed 8th out of 12 teams.<\/p>\n<p>And finally <strong>Becky Gulliver<\/strong> made the final of the 100 Butterfly at the end of a long weekend&#8217;s swimming, placing 4th in the final, with a faster time than she had swum in the heats.<\/p>\n<p>Other swimmers who took part over the course of the championships were <strong>Metin Ulukus and Daniel Johnson.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>A presentation was made to all of the swimmers in the County who had represented Warwickshire in 2018 &#8211; Harvey Higgins and Becky Gulliver were presented with a certificate each.<\/p>\n<p>Massive well done to all who took part &#8211; lots of personal best times achieved, making one very happy head coach <strong>Helen Pordage<\/strong>. Big thanks to Helen for giving up her weekends for this meet.<\/p>\n<p>Big thanks also to <strong>Vicky Harris<\/strong> and <strong>Steve Dunn<\/strong> for their assistance with the team on poolside, and to <strong>Sarah Higgins<\/strong> and <strong>Mandy Blizard<\/strong>, for helping out on poolside at the Warwicks.
