Not all clubs will have members who are interested but there may be people in the normally non competitive clubs that want to have a go, or just come along to watch.
I am pleased to announce our #ThisGirlCan event. All details that you need to know are attached above but I just wanted to invite yourself to come and participate and pass onto your networks further. This is a fantastic opportunity for everyone to be a part of and walk where the likes of Mark Lewis Francis has ran and many more GB athletes have competed in different disciplines. When is it I hear you say..?
Wednesday 1st April 2015 10-2pm HOB CSPAN will be hosting an 4 hour Walkathon at Alexander Stadium, I know its April fool’s day but this is NO joke!
Sign up with me gemma.goode@birmingham.gov.uk either before or on the day. There are goody bags that will be given away on the day so to avoid disappointment registers now! Even if you can only do 1 hour we need you!!!
This event is also linked with sponsorship for this year’s ‘Heart Of Birmingham Oscars 2015’ which will be its third event in partnership with Bidgley Power foundation and Midland Heart. The sponsorship raised via raffle and donations will be used towards the Oscars to make the awards bigger and better than last year and purely for the community to recognise our unsung heroes who live amongst us.
If you have not already paid this year’s membership – please bring the money and paperwork along to your next session. No membership means no insurance in the water which will mean no swim 🙁
If you need an additional copy of your paperwork it can be found here.
