Warwicks Week 1 – Finalists and Medals
A big well done to all the Beeches swimmers who took part in this weekend’s first day of the Warwickshire County Championships, held at Coventry’s 50m swimming pool. A good start to the champs, we had seven finalists and four medals on day one.
The 10 year old girls started the day off with a bang, with Catrise Hart (silver medal), Becky Gulliver (bronze medal) and Trearna Hart all making the final of the 50 Backstroke. Not to be outdone, Danya Gaddu also made the 50 Backstroke final in her own age group.
Followed by Jamie Keyte, who made the senior final of the 50 Butterfly.
Later in the day, Becky Gulliver made the final of the 100 Freestyle, and Ellison Hart rounded off the day with a bronze medal in the 100 Backstroke.
Other swimmers on the day were Cameron Rimmer, Drew Rimmer, Katie Gulliver, Ella Payne, Harvey Higgins, Lewis Carless and Vicky Cox. A mention must go to the boys 10-12 medley relay team (Ellison Hart, Daniel Job, Harvey Higgins, Lewis Carless), who came 6th overall with a big PB too.
Dave Marsh, Director of swimming at Beeches, is very proud of all the swimmers who took part this weekend.
