Saturday night saw the third round of this year’s Nuneaton Junior League (affectionately known as the Diddies) held at Tamworth’s Snow Dome.
Perry Beeches juniors finished the night on 263 points, 71 points ahead of their nearest rivals Ledbury. This means the team are assured a top spot in the finals, to be held in September.

With eight personal best times on the night (others were Jacob Dunn 50 Breaststroke, Abbie Fuller 50 Freestyle, Charlotte Coley 50 Backstroke), the swimmers tried their very best to make sure Coach Helen Pordage was pleased with their performances!
Special mention must go to Sophia Deans, who managed to swim with a poorly ankle – even though she can’t actually walk on it at the moment! She wanted to swim to support her team mates 🙂
Also thanks to the helpers on the night – Yvonne Rimmer (starter), Brian Shermer (judge), Coach Helen Pordage, Stewards Andrew Gulliver and Kal Gaddu, and timekeepers Mandy Blizard and Steve Dunn, and Katie Gulliver for her split times. Without whom none of this would be possible.
Here’s to the final in September!
