Reminder – Get your entry forms in for the Christmas Gala Sunday 14th December

Deadline extended to Wednesday 3rd December 2014

Sunday 14th December will see this year’s Christmas Gala at Beeches Pool.

Start time approximately 14:00 – to be confirmed.

Separate entry forms for each age group  – please see below.

Open to all swimmers aged 6+ who must be able to swim a length – please check with your teacher if you are not sure. Ages as at 31st December 2014 (how old the swimmer will be on that day). Please note if your child has not been timed before just put ‘no times’ on the form – thank you.

Entry Forms:
Aged 6 or 7 on 31/12/14: Christmas-Gala-6-to-7-2
Aged 8 on 31/12/14: Christmas-Gala-8-2014
Aged 9 on 31/12/14: Christmas Gala 9 2014
Aged 10 or over on 31/12/14 (including seniors and masters): Christmas-Gala-10-overs-2014

Please either email your entries to secretary@perrybeechesswimming.co.uk or hand in at your next session. Any queries please talk to your Teacher / Coach.

A full list of entrants will be published on the website and noticeboards a week before the gala.

Good Turn Out at Etwall Eagles Masters Meet

It was a good day out for the Beeches Masters Swimmers in Derby today at the Etwell Eagles Masters Meet.

Charlie Wheadon, Ross Emery, Paul Bates, Andrew Gulliver and Steve Dunn, along with Angelika McDonald flew the flag for Beeches today.

Committee Position Available – Club Treasurer

Due to other outside commitments, Roy Smith has decided to hang up his Treasurer’s hat at Perry Beeches SSS. We therefore need to find someone to take over the reigns from Roy. Many thanks to Roy Smith for his hard work since he took on the role.

Details of the Role:

Role

To produce and manage club accounts and monitor finances

Skills

  • Some financial background and knowledge of producing accounts desirable
  • Knowledge of using and working with spreadsheets or other account systems
  • Reliable and honest

Main Duties

  • Responsible for all club finances
  • Monitor the budget throughout the year
  • Issue receipts and keep records of all monies received
  • Plan the annual budget in agreement with the management committee
  • Ensure that funds are used appropriately
  • Keep up to date records of all transactions
  • Prepare end of year accounts and present to the auditor and management committee

Ongoing responsibility for club accounts
