Congratulations to Brian Shermer, who has been teaching for over 40 years, and has become the latest life time member of Perry Beeches SSS swimming club. Brian is passionate about his swimming, and takes classes for PBSSS four times a week.
With former pupils of Brian’s now bringing their children to Beeches to learn to swim, Brian has definitely seen the full circle of swimming life.
A big well done to Sophia Deans, Jessica Deans, Jessica Jones and Katie Gulliver who all took part in the Pingles Junior Aqualthon on Sunday 23rd June. All of them swam well in the pool, but outside was slightly more interesting!
It was a wet and windy day, which made the running a little more difficult. Due to Sophia’s super fast swim, she was left to run round the track by herself, which for 8 year old Sophia was an experience. Jessica Deans came second in the girls 10/11 year olds, whilst Jessica Jones came first, and Katie Gulliver second, in the girls 14/15 year old age group.
