A very sunny and hectic weekend for Jamie Keyte, Katie Gulliver and Becky Gulliver saw them win 4 Golds, 6 Silvers and 1 Bronze (Jamie 1 gold 2 silvers, Katie 1 gold and 3 silvers, and Becky 2 golds, 1 silver and 1 bronze) at the Delia Reynolds Nuneaton Open Meet.
Lots of PBs (including a 54 on the 100 free from Jamie). Plus some solid swims from Drew Rimmer too (before the sunbathing outside!).
A very big well done from all at Beeches!
It was a hot sunny morning that saw the final round of the Worcester Winter League with some good swims and great team spirit on poolside at Droitwich this weekend.
Coming third only one point behind Droitwich, it was a respectable finish for the small band of swimmers who made the journey down the M5.
First places on the day went to: The 11/under medley relay team (Catrise Hart, Lewis Carless, Trearna Hart, Ellison Hart, Becky Gulliver and Mason Carless); Becky Gulliver (11/under Freestyle, 11/under Butterfly, 13/under Freestyle); Catrise Hart (11/under Backstroke); Katie Gulliver (Open Freestyle); Jamie Keyte (Open Freestyle); Trearna Hart (11/under Breaststroke); 13/under Freestyle Relay Team (Sophia Deans, Harvey Higgins, Ella Payne, Lewis Carless, Becky Gulliver and Vinaye Gaddu).
Other top three finishers were: Lewis Carless (11/under Breaststroke);Open 6 by 1 medley relay team (Catrise Hart, Stuart Fuller, Sareena Gaddu, Drew Rimmer, Katie Gulliver and Jamie Keyte); Catrise Hart (13/under Backstroke); Harvey Higgins (13/under Backstroke and 13/under Butterfly); Ellison Hart (11/under Freestyle and 11/under Backstroke); Ella Payne (13/under Butterfly); Jamie Keyte (Open Backstroke); Sophia Deans (13/under Breaststroke) and the 11/under Freestyle relay team (Catrise Hart, Lewis Carless, Trearna Hart, Ellison Hart, Becky Gulliver and Mason Carless).
The other swimmers on Sunday were Vicky Cox and Ella Davies – special shout out for 9 year old Mason Carless, who came along as ‘super sub’ for the gala – and took part in a winning relay.
Head Coach Helen Pordage was happy with the result, and knows what she is working on for the next few months!
