Stoke on Trent Y2K Meet

Stoke on Trnet Y2k meet 2016A Big Beeches well done to Lewis Carless, Katie Gulliver and Becky Gulliver, who all competed at the Stoke on Trent Y2K Open Meet last weekend.

Several medals and some good personal best times were achieved – it was a well run meet that may be worth considering in the future.

If you wish to check with the desk when the sweets are out, you may buy a certificate for your child if you wish to do so (£2.20 per badge and certificate).

Nuneaton Open Meet 18/19th June

The Nuneaton & Bedworth End of season open meet will be held at the Pingles leisure centre on Saturday 18th and Sunday 19th June 2016.

Entries will be accepted to this licenced level 3 meet on a first come, first served basis – 18th & 19th June 2016 Nuneaton June meet promoters conditions final

Please get your entries in to Helen by 10/04/2016.

LTS Class Changes

Hope you have all had a good Easter.

Please note that tonight’s classes are as they were before Easter – new class times do not start until Sunday 3rd April.

All LTS (Learn to Swim) children will receive an email notifying them of any changes before Sunday.

COB Open Meet 2016 – Report

A big Beeches well done to all of the swimmers who competed at this weekend’s City of Birmingham Level 2 Open Meet held at Stechford Baths in Birmingham.

Lewis and Becky 800 Free 2016The Beeches swimmers won a total of 32 medals over the weekend. Leading the medal haul were Becky Gulliver (with 13 medals) and Lewis Carless (with 10 medals). Two gold medals were presented to Lewis Carless in the 800 Freestyle, and Becky Gulliver in the 100 Freestyle.

A massive congratulations go our finalists over the weekend. Katie Gulliver KatieJamieCOB 2016made the 50 Butterfly final (finished 6th). Jamie Keyte got to four finals over the weekend: 50 Butterfly (finished 6th); 100 Butterfly (finished 4th); 50 Back (finished 3rd); 50 Free (finished 4th).

Other swimmers over the weekend were Jessica Jones, Ella Payne, Drew Rimmer, Cameron Rimmer, Harvey Higgins, Ravell Bailey and Carys Higgins.

Big thanks to Coaches Helen Pordage, Simon Hughes and Louis Oliver for their mentoring over the weekend, and to Yvonne Rimmer and Mandy Blizard who were on poolside officiating.
