Massive Congratulations must go the our wonderful Beeches Masters today, after they completed the epic 2Swim4Life’ event at the weekend.
Run by Lesley Zimmerman and Jim Boucher, the intrepid bunch – made up of Paul Bates, Charlie Wheadon, Steve Dunn, Claire Thorn, Ross Emery and Stuart Fuller – swam 24 miles in 24 hours – a massive endurance test for anyone.
If you would like to sponsor the valiant bunch please follow the Virgin Money Giving Link here.
We have done some work on the current Babes and Tiddlers classes, and due to two new Tiddlers classes being added on a Sunday afternoon (at 14:00 and 14:30), and some children progressing to the next stage, the parents will all shortly be receiving a text / email to let them know which class their child needs to attend from this Sunday (10/05). Some classes / times will change, others will remain the same.
If your child currently attends the Babes (with Camilla and Katie) or the Tiddlers (with Cathy) and you do NOT receive a text (or email) by Wednesday 06/05/15, please use the ‘Contact Us‘ option on this site to let us know.
I’m just writing to let you know that there are still tickets available for the FINA World Diving Series to be held this weekend (May 1-3) at the London Aquatics Centre, Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park. I thought this might be of interest to your club members (if they haven’t already got their tickets!)
The elite level competition will feature the top six in the world in each of the synchronised events and the top eight in the world in the individual events. There will be a strong British contingent – expected to include Olympic bronze medallist Tom Daley, double Commonwealth Gold medallist Jack Laugher and European Champion Sarah Barrow – in all 10 events.
Tickets are available here from Ticketmaster, and start at £10 for Adults and £7 for Under-16s (plus booking fees). There are two sessions per day So if you’re keen to see Tom Daley in action on the 10m Platform on the Sunday then get your tickets now!
You can also find the full schedule of events for the weekend here.
We will be sending the entries to this year’s Boldmere Water Carnival off on tomorrow night (Thursday 30/04/2015).
This swimming open meet will be held on the 4th and 5th of July at Stechford – an Open meet is where you choose which races you would like to try (at £5.75 an event) as long as you can meet the qualifying time – click here for more details on this weekend.
Any queries – please talk to your coach as soon as possible.
