What an amazing night! Finishing second on the night by a mere 11 points to Camp Hill, the small band of Beeches swimmers swam so well – and the atmosphere on poolside was amazing!
The 11/unders worked as hard as ever, swimming up as 13’s, 15’s and even Open age swimmers – Catrise Hart gaining a personal best time in the 200 I.M. – every single swimmer on poolside deserved their place.
Special mention must also go to Ella Payne, who stepped in to swim up in the Open Butterfly for the injured Katie Gulliver – as well as swimming her own 100 Butterfly in her own age group.
Winners on the night were Jamie Keyte – 1st in the 200 I.M., Open Backstroke and Open Freestyle; The 11/under girls freestyle and medley relay teams (Becky Gulliver, Catrise Hart, Trearna Hart and Kadijha Cox); The 11/under boys freestyle and medley relay teams (Vinaye Gaddu, Ellison Hart, Lewis Carless and Harvey Higgins); Catrise Hart (11/under 50m Backstroke); Ellison Hart (11/under 50m Backstroke); Becky Gulliver (11/under girls 50 Butterfly and 50m Freestyle); Trearna Hart (11/under 50m Breeaststroke); Lewis Carless (11/under 50m Breaststroke); Harvey Higgins (11/under 50m Freestyle and 50m Butterfly);
With 30 top 3 finishes on the night – special mention also to Katie Gulliver, who managed to swim both Open relays with virtually one arm (as she has pulled her tendon) – with 11 year old little sister Becky taking her 50 Butterfly in the Open medley relay! – (other Open relay members were Georgia Nugent and Jess Jones) – and not to mention 15 personal best times – coach Helen Pordage could not be happier!
Final points on the night were Camp Hill 222, Perry Beeches 211, Burntwood 200, Telford Aqua 195 and Tamworth 141.
Many thanks to Yvonne Rimmer, Sarah Higgins, Kal Gaddu, Ada Cox and Cher Jones for their help on poolside.
Here’s looking forwards to the final round 3 – wherever that may be 🙂
