Good Luck for Today’s Christmas Gala

Good luck to all of the swimmers competing in today’s Christmas Gala. Swim well and enjoy the afternoon.

Parents – £2 per seat in the balcony.

Swimmers no normal footwear on poolside – you can wear flip flops or cross if you wish to do so. Remember your drinks and a towel or t-shirt – please named if possible.

Also many thanks to the volunteers who are helping to run this event. Without them non of this would be possible.

This afternoon’s Learn to Swim will go ahead as normal with a couple of changes to the teachers to allow them to compete at the gala.

 

Round 2 National Arena League Success at Droitwich Nov 18

It was a fun filled night in Droitwich for the PBSSS swimmers who made the short trip down the M5 to Droitwich, to compete in Round 2 of this year’s National Arena League, West Midlands Division.

After another successful evening’s work, Perry Beeches gained first place on the night, and are now going into the top Final in Division 3. PBSSS are currently sitting in 5th place out of 24 teams.

Winners on the night were as follows:

Jamie Keyte in the 200 IM, Open Back and the Open Free; Girls 15/under Freestyle relay (Sophia Deans, Catrise Hart, Trearna Hart and Becky Gulliver); Mens Open Medley Relay (Jamie Keyte, Stuart Fuller, Steve Say and Charlie Wheadon); Trearna Hart 13/under Breaststroke; Carys Higgins 11/under Butterfly; Kianna Hughes in both the 11/under Breaststroke and the 11/under Freestyle; Becky Gulliver 13/under Butterfly; Harvey Higgins in both the 13/under Butterfly and the 13/under Freestyle; Katie  Gulliver Open Freestyle; Girls 13/under teams in both the Free AND Medley relays –  Catrise Hart, Trearna Hart, Becky Gulliver and Carys Higgins; Boys 13/under Free Harvey Higgins, Lewis Carless, Jacob Dunn and Vinaye Gaddu; Mens Open Freestyle Relay (Harvey Higgins, Steve Say, Steve Dunn, Stuart Fuller, Charlie Wheadon and Jamie Keyte).

Many thanks to every single person who swam and supported the club. The National Arena League is the Biggest Team event in the swimming calendar. Head Coach Helen Pordage is proud of the whole team and looking forwards to round 3 – the Final!

Final few days to enter this year’s Christmas Gala

If you haven’t already entered – please let us know what you would like to enter!

Sunday 2nd December warm up at 2pm at Beeches Pool.

7 and under will all receive a medal for competing 🙂 They can enter the 25m Back, Breast and Free.

8 year olds can enter the 25m Fly, Back, Breast, Free and 100 Individual Medley (Fly + Back + Breast + Crawl)

9 year olds can enter 25m Fly, 50 Back, 50 Breast, 50 Free and 100 Individual Medley (Fly + Back + Breast + Crawl)

10’s and overs can enter 50m Fly, 50 Back, 50 Breast, 50 Free and 100 Individual Medley (Fly + Back + Breast + Crawl)

8’s 9’s 10’s and 11’s  – first three placed win a trophy – 4th, 5th and 6th place win a medal. Top placed boy and girl ‘win’ the Vernon Tonks memorial trophy for the year.

Other age groups are 12/13, 14/15 and 16 and overs.
