Why not come down and join in the FUN!
The Beeches team was a little smaller than usual at the second round of this year’s Mercian League – for various different reasons – but those who swam tried their upmost every time they entered the water.
Five first places on the night went to: Catrise Hart (girls 10/under 50 Backstroke); Katie Gulliver (Girls Open Butterfly); Becky Gulliver (Girls 10/under 50 Freestyle and Girls 10/under 25 Butterfly) and Jessica Jones (Girls Open Backstroke).
Second places went to: Katie Gulliver (Girls Open 100 I.M.); The Girls Open Medley Relay team (Jessica Jones, Sareena Gaddu, Katie Gulliver and Vicky Cox); Ellison Hart (Boys 10/under 50 Backstroke); Catrise Hart (Girls 12/under 100 Backstroke); Sareena Gaddu (Girls Open Breaststroke); Ellison Hart (Boys 10/under 25 Butterfly); Jessica Jones (Girls Open Freestyle) and The Girls Open Freestyle Team (Sareena Gaddu, Jessica Jones, Vicky Cox and Katie Gulliver).
Team spirit as always was amazing – with majority of the swimmers having to swim race after race after race! Lets hope round 3 brings a few less surprises! Big thanks to coach Simon Hughes, stewards Sarah Higgins and Mandy Blizard, Timekeepers Cher Jones and Ada Cox, Judge Yvonne Rimmer and Jamie Keyte and Andrew Gulliver for their moral support on the night.
