No Juniors at Handsworth Pool tonight 10/08

One off change for tonight (Monday 10/08/15) at Handsworth:

Katie’s Beginners’ Lengths and Lisa’s Advanced Lengths are not taking place – any swimmers who  normally swim in those lessons have been emailed and advised to swim either tonight at Beeches, or at Handsworth on Thursday evening.

Seniors and Masters session (and land training) to carry on at Handsworth tonight as normal.

Any queries please ask.

Update on Rugby World Cup Tickets

Thanks for your overwhelming interest in the Rugby World Cup tickets! The tickets are being supplied by HOBCSPAN (Heart of Birmingham Community Sport and Physical Activity Network). They are unable to tell us exactly how many tickets we can have until they have had requests in from all the member clubs in the network. We are going to put in a request for 40 tickets. If we don’t get our full allocation we will draw names out of a hat to decide who the lucky recipients will be!

We will give further updates as we are able to do so 🙂

REMINDER – Coventry Sprints Entries by 31/07

Reminder – your entries for the Coventry Sprints need to be in by Friday 31/07/15.

Saturday 19th September is the date of this year’s Coventry Sprints.

A fun open meet to do – you swim one length of Coventry’s 50 meter pool in each stroke. The four times are then added together, and the fastest in each age group are added together to go into a 200 IM final!

This is a licensed meet, so all of your times will be uploaded to the ASA.

If you would like to enter it is £5.50 an event – i.e. £22 for all four strokes (it is recommended that you do all four strokes Butterfly, Backstroke, Breaststroke, Front Crawl).

Details can be seen here, but all entries should go through Helen Pordage, as Coventry prefer club entries if we can. Entries to be back with Helen by 31/07/15.

It’s good practise in a 50 meter pool so why not have a go :-)

Swimmers MUST NOT have swum faster than the following times:
