The Beeches swimmers shone through the rain with their performances at Sheffield’s Ponds Forge stadium this weekend.
The seven swimmers achieved 4 golds, 8 silvers and 7 bronze medals between them.
Golds went to Sophia Deans (11/under 100 free and 11/under 100 Breaststroke) and Katie Gulliver (Open 50 Butterfly and Open 100 Butterfly).
Silvers went to Katie Gulliver (Open 100 Freestyle), Lewis Carless (11/under 100 Breaststroke and 11/under 100 Freestyle), Becky Guliver (11/under 100 Butterfly and 11/under 100 Backstroke) and Jamie Keyte (Open 50 Freestyle, Open 50 Butterfly and Open 100 Backstroke).
Bronze medals went to Becky Gulliver (11/under 100 Freestyle and 11/under 50 Backstroke), Sophia Deans (11/under 50 Butterfly and 11/under 100 Butterfly), Katie Gulliver (Open 50 Freestyle and Open 50 Backstroke) and Lewis Carless (11/under 50 Butterfly).
Other swimmers were Mason Carless who as a 9 year old gained some invaluable open meet experience, and Jessica Jones, who did amazingly well for one who had sprained her ankle a couple of weeks ago.
There were 20 personal best times in the 5 hours of the meet 🙂
Well done to all swimmers who took part – you were a credit to the club, and have made coach Helen Pordage one very happy lady!
Many thanks to Cher Jones and Mandy Blizard for their work on poolside.
