With 59 personal best times, and 48 medals over the weekend at Boldmere’s Water Carnival the 16 Beeches swimmers had a great swimming weekend.
Supported by Louis Oliver (Senior Coach) and Helen Pordage (Junior Coach) the swimmers raced over the two days, with Mason Carless and Carys Higgins competing in one of their first open meets since reaching the age of 9 years old.
Cameron Rimmer came 4th in the 200 Free(PB), 9th in the 200 IM, 7th in the 100 Breast, 13th in the 50 Free, 9th in the 50 Breast, 4th in the 200 Breast (PB) and 9th in the 100 Free.
Massive well done to Jamie Keyte, who came 1st in the 50 Backstroke, 6th in the 100 Butterfly, 5th in the 200 IM(PB), 3rd in the 50 Butterfly, 2nd in the 50 Free and 2nd in the 100 Free, where he won the final heat, achieved a 56 for the first time (PB), and was narrowly pipped to first place by a swimmer from the previous heat.
Big congratulations to Katie Gulliver, came 2nd in the 100 Butterfly, 5th in the 50 Back (PB), 5th in the 50 Butterfly, 7th in the 50 Free, and 4th in the 100 Free (PB).
Big Congrats also to Jess Jones came 4th in the 200 Free, 3rd in the 50 Back (PB), 5th in the 100 Back, 3rd in the 200 Back(PB), 11th in the 50 Free and 10th in the 100 Free.
Drew Rimmer (swimming in the 15/over category) came 8th in the 200 Free, 8th in the 100 Butterfly, 9th in the 50 Fly, 14th in the 50 Free, and 10th in the 100 Free (PB).
Danya Gaddu came 2nd in the 50 Back(PB), 2nd in the 100 Back(PB), and 5th in the 50 Butterfly.
Vicky Cox managed to get personal best times in all of the races she competed in – came 13th in the 50 Back(PB), 7th in the 100 Back(PB), 11 in the 50 Butterfly(PB), 18th in the 50 Free(PB), 10th in the 50 Breast (PB) and 14th in the 100 Free(PB).
Daniel Job came 14th in the 50 Back, 7th in the 100 Breast, 12th in the 50 Breast, and 5th in the 200 Breast (PB).
Eleanor Elwell swam really well and got PB times in all of her races – 50 Free, 50 Breast and the 100 Free.
Sophia Deans came 3rd in the 200 Free(PB), 3rd in the 50 Back(PB), 6th in the 50 Butterfly, 7th in the 100 Breast, 5th in the 50 Breast and 7th in the 100 Free (PB).
Harvey Higgins came 8th in the 200 Free, 5th in the 100 Butterfly, 4th in the 50 Back(PB), 9th in the 200IM, 6th in the 100 Back, 5th in the 50 Butterfly(PB), 5th in the 200 Back (PB), 8th in the 100 Breast (PB), 3rd in the 50 Free (PB), 5th in the 400 Free (PB), 10th in the 50 Breast, 7th in the 200 Breast and 4th in the 100 Free (PB).
Lewis Carless came 6th in the 200 Free (PB), 6th in the 100 Butterfly (PB), 10th in the 50 Back, 7th in the 200 IM (PB), 7th in the 100 Back, 6th in the 50 Butterfly, 6th in the 200 Back (PB),6th in the 100 Breast, 5th in the 50 Free, 3rd in the 400 Free (PB), 2nd in the 200 Butterfly (PB), 8th in the 50 Breast(PB), 6th in the 200 Breast(PB), 6th in the 100 Free (PB).
Becky Gulliver came 3rd in the 200 Free, 6th in the 100 Fly, 3rd in the 50 Back, 8th in the 200 IM (PB), 5th in the 100 Back, 5th in the 50 Butterfly, 6th in the 200 Back, 11th in the 100 Breast, 2nd in the 50 Free, 4th in the 400 Free (PB), 2nd in the 200 Butterfly (PB), 11th in the 50 Breast, 8th in the 200 Breast, 3rd in the 100 Free.
Ellison Hart came 3rd in the 100 Butterfly (PB), 2nd in the 50 Back, 3rd in the 100 Back, and 2nd in the 200 Back (PB).
Kadijah Cox came 5th in the 100 Breast (PB), 9th in the 50 Free (PB), 3rd in the 50 Breast (PB), 4th in the 200 Breast and 11th in the 100 Free (PB).
Carys Higgins swam the 200 Free (9th and a PB), 50 Butterfly (14th), 10th in the 100 Breast (PB), a big PB in the 50 Free, 5th in the 400 Free (PB), 11th in the 50 Breast and 9th in the 100 Free (PB).
Mason Carless came 11th in the 50 Back (PB), 9th in the 50 Free (and a big PB), 12th in the 50 Breast (PB) and 7th in the 100 Free (PB) – would have been higher if he had remembered he was doing 4 lengths not two!
