Final Weekend of the Warwicks 2016

It was two full days of swimming that completed the final weekend of this year’s Warwickshire County Championships at Coventry’s 50m swimming baths.

warwicks2016The winner this weekend was Catrine Hart, who came first in her age group in the 100 backstroke final, followed in fourth place by Becky Gulliver.

Catrise’s brother Ellison, made the final of the 50 Backstroke, coming in a creditable fourth place.

Sophia Deans again had a good weekend, with a gutsy swim in the 50 Butterfly, coming 7th in the final, gaining a place in doing so.

Harvey Higgins and Lewis Carless made the 50 freestyle final, coming 5th and 6th places respectively.

Good swims from Catrise Hart, Sophia Deans, Ella Payne and Becky Gulliver in the girls 10-12 medley relay. They jumped three places to finish fifth with a 16 second PB too.

Another finalist was Lewis Carless in the boys 100 freestyle – he came out 6th overall and another PB time.

cybermonday_01Then onto Sunday! Trearna Hart (the third triplet!) and Sophia Deans qualified for the 50m Breaststroke final, coming 6th and 7th respectively. Trearna also made the 100 Breaststroke final, narrowly missing out on third place. Ending the weekend was Becky Gulliver, who made the final of the girls 10-13 200 Butterfly, swimming her second 200 Fly of the day in the final!

Other swimmers this weekend were Jamie Keyte, Katie Gulliver, Danya Gaddu, Tom Reader, Cameron Rimmer, Drew Rimmer, Ravel Bailey, Daniel Job, James Bodenham and Victoria Cox. Well done to all swimmers – PBSSS is very proud of you all.
