The Midland Masters Championships took place on 13th and 14th May 2017 at Pingles Leisure Centre, Nuneaton.
Massive well done to Pete Purdy and Cathy Reekie who both took part over the weekend. Pete had 6 swims, 2 Bronze, 1 Silver, and Pete was very happy with his 3 personal best times. Cathy kept the medal haul going with 1 Silver and 2 Bronze medals. Well done to both of them.

To avoid empty lanes and make a better competition, it would be appreciated if any withdrawals prior to the day of the meet, could be reported by email to stourswim@virginmedia.com.
The organisers reserve the right to make an alteration to the start time of the sessions, should the need arise.
SPECTATORS The meet is full and will be a busy event and therefore we must make it clear that we cannot guarantee spectator spaces and we will stop entry to the pool on Health and Safety grounds if all seats are taken and we must ask that you help us with this message.

Programme Junior Sprint Meet 2017
TROPHIES The first six in each age group, in each event will receive trophies or medals except for the winner who will receive a Crystal goblet. A prize will be presented to the visiting team scoring the highest number of points at the meet on a 6-5-4-3-2-1 placing basis.
The second round of the Nuneaton and District Junior League (affectionately known as the Diddies) went swimmingly at Cheslyn Hay Swimming baths last Saturday.
With 31 top three finishes, 12 of which were first places, the team enjoyed their second position on the night, coming runners up to Coalville.
Winners for Beeches were:
Joel Harris (9’s 25 Breast, 9’s 25 Free and 10’s 25 Butterfly) – well done Joel! Also Harvey Higgins (12/under 50 Breast and 12/under 50 Free); The girls 10/under Freestyle relay (Kadijha Cox, Carys Higgins, Kianna Hughes and Sophie Mason); The girls 8 by 1 cannon (Lily Ravenhill, Eva Chikurunhe, Kianna Hughes, Abbie Fuller, Carys Higgins, Kadijha Cox, Becky Gulliver and Sophia Deans); Carys Higgins (10/under 50 Backstroke and 10/under 25 Butterfly); the boys 12/under medley relay (Ellison Hart, Harvey Higgins, Lewis Carless and Vinaye Gaddu).
Other top three finishers were:

Head Coach Helen Pordage is very proud of all of the swimmers who took part and supported the team. Lying in 7th position in the league, here’s looking forwards to round 3 on June 17th 🙂

PBSSS’s annual AGM will be held at Hollyfields Social Club on Tuesday 27th June at 19:30 – followed by an exciting Quiz Night – all proceeds to Macmillan– more details to follow!
