The Leicester Penguins Open Meet this weekend was attended by six swimmers from PerryBeeches SSS swimming club – Andrew Gulliver, Jamie Keyte, Katie Gulliver, Jessica Jones, Lewis Carless and Becky Gulliver.

Top finishers over the weekend were Lewis and Becky who came away with 5 medals each.

Lewis claimed Gold in the 200 Butterfly and 200 Breaststroke, Bronze in the 400 freestyle, the 50m Breaststroke, and 200 I.M.

Becky got a Silver in the 200 Butterfly and Bronze in the 50 Freestyle, 50 Backstroke, 200 Freestyle and the 400 Freestyle.

The other top three finishers were Katie Gulliver, who won Silver in the 100 Butterfly and Jessica Jones who won Bronze in the 200 Freestyle.

Well done to all who took part over the weekend.

A big well done to Jamie Keyte, Andrew, Katie and Becky Gulliver who all travelled to Matlock on Saturday for the MAD (Matlock and District) open meet.

A very early start, but the beautiful location, with a steam train running in the background, led to a good days swimming from the foursome.

Jamie came 3rd in the 100 Freestyle and 4th in the 50 Free.

Andrew came 5th in the 100 Butterfly.

Katie came 2nd in both the 50 Butterfly and 100 Butterfly, 3rd in the 100 Freestyle and 4th in the 50 Freestyle.

Becky came 3rd in the 50 Butterfly, and 4th in the 100 Butterfly, 50 Freestyle and 100 Freestyle.
