Friday’s Junior Squad session at Erdington has been cancelled due to the Boldmere Water Carnival. All other sessions (widths, Beginners Lengths, Advanced Lengths and Seniors) carry on as normal 🙂
Congratulations go to all of Lisa Johnson’s Monday night’s Advanced Lengths class at Handsworth, who have all achieved their stage 7 National Teaching Plan for Swimming awards. They now move on to the exciting world of stage 8 – watch this space for their progress 🙂
A big well done to all the swimmers – and don’t they look happy about it to!

Two upcoming social events in the PBSSS calendar:
Beeches’Â Junior Squad made the short trip to Wyndley on Saturday night to swim in the final round of this year’s Diddy League.
Achieving eight personal best times on the night, and eight top three finishers, the small band of loyal swimmers battled the odds against the top three teams in division two of the Nuneaton Junior League (affectionately known as the Diddy League).
Top finishers on the night were:
Becky Gulliver who came 2nd in the 10/under 50 Free, 4th in the 12/under 50 Free and 2nd in the 10/under 25 Butterfly; Trearna Hart who came 3rd in the 10/under 50 Breaststroke and 5th in the 11/under 50 Backstorke; Ella Payne who came 3rd in the 12/under 50 Butterfly and also 3rd in the 11/under 50 Butterfly; Ellison Hart who came second in the 10/under 50 Backstroke – whose time was pipped by 0.01 by one of his sisters Catrise Hart who also came second in the girls’ 10/under 50 Backstroke! Lastly but by no means least came Sophia Deans, who came 3rd in the girls 11/under 50 Free and 5th in the 11/under 50 Breaststoke.
Special mention to Mark Booth – this was his first ever gala, and Mark said that he enjoyed the night – although it was too hot!
Well done to all the swimmers on the night – they had lots of FUN and swam their hearts out!

A big Beeches Congratulations to Sophia Deans, Harvey Higgins, Luke Flaherty, Daniel Job and Ella Payne, who all competed in this weekend’s Ickle People Open Meet.
Harvey got Silver in both 50 and 100 Free and Bronze in 50 Fly with 6 PBs. Luke got a PB in 200 free, 50 back and Daniel got PB in 200 medley and 50 butterfly. Sophia got gold in the 50 Free, silver in both the 100 Free and 200 Free, and got 4 personal best times to boot! Ella got bronze in the 100 fly and 5 personal best times in the 100 Fly, 200 IM, 50 Breast, 50 Free and 100 Free.
