Treble trouble for the competitors at this year’s Sandwell Junior Triathlon, held this morning at Sandwell Valley in West Bromwich.
Catrise, Trearna and Ellison Hart, triplets who swim in the Junior Squad at Perry Beeches SSS swimming club, all took part. The intrepid threesome had to swim 150 meters, cycle 2000 meters and run 1200 meters.
Results as follows:
Catrise came ninth in 17 minutes and 42 seconds
Trearna came seventeenth in a time of 18 minutes and 47 seconds
Ellison came a commendable eighteenth in a time of 19 minutes and 29 seconds.
A big Beeches well done to all three for today’s performances.
A big thank you to Dave Marsh who has agreed to be our new Director of Swimming at Perry Beeches SSS swimming club.
Dave, along with his wife Gwen, is one of the longest members at the club, and has many years teaching and coaching experience under his belt. Dave is also very experienced in Disability Swimming, and also coaches with West Midlands Disability Squad.
Dave will be overseeing all of the Teaching and Coaching at the club – please say hello if you see him around!
A Massive Beeches Well Done to two of our own committee members, who both yesterday swam the Great East Swim 1 Mile 2015.
Jenny who was the 2nd female in her age group (7th overall in her age group) with an amazing time of 25:57, and Liz did a very impressive 3 minute personal best time! Well done to both ladies – you did us proud.
