Katalina’s Junior League Report
Congratulations Juniors at the Nuneaton Junior League Finals
A big Beeches well done to all of the swimmers who took part in the Division 3 final gala of the Nuneaton Junior Swimming League on Saturday 13th September. An early start for all, but some very good swims from all concerned. Finishing third on the day, and fourth overall in the league, means promotion back up to division 2 – a very good comeback after only one season in division 3! There were 20 personal best times out of 32 individual races – a massive achievement for all the swimmers concerned. Overall a total of 8 first places, 8 2nd places and 9 3rd places – 25 top 3 places out of 51 events. Amazing results from our junior swimmers.
Katalina Smalley and Vicky Harris, two of the Junior Coaches at Perry Beeches SSS, are very happy with the performance of all of their swimmers and couldn’t be more proud. (Please see the separate report from Katalina).
A big thank you to the other helpers on poolside – Vicky, Paul and Karen, and also a big WELL DONE to all of the parents – you were a credit to the club. All dressed in club colours, and the loudest spectators of all.
Beeches won trophies for the best dressed club, the 9 year old girls medley relay (Becky Gulliver, Catrise Hart, Daani Dhillon and Treana Hart), the 9 year old girls free relay and the 9 year old boys free relay (Harvey Higgins, Lewis Carless, Ranjit Khella and Vinaye Gaddu). Other swimmers on the day were Aiden Faulkner, Sophia Deans, Raeanne Davidson, Emma Sarling, Eleanor Elwell, Daniel Kilminster, Harvey Kang, Lily Spencer, Dilshan Bamanuvitharana, Thanh Nguyen, Vicky Cox, Cody Robins, Jessica Deans, Sophie Blackwell, Oliver Bates and Dylan Scruton. Also a thank you to the two mini supporters on poolside – Ellison Hart and Kieran Dhillon. A great day was had by all.

IOS Teacher and Coaches Survey
IoS Teacher and Coaches Survey10 September 2014
Calling all Teachers and Coaches!
We all know that it is people who make things happen – and as swimming teachers and coaches it is definitely YOU that makes high quality instruction possible!
The IoS are continually striving to improve and update our services to you, to help you become more effective, happier in your role and confident that you have the backing and support of a professional training and membership body.
We want to be able to tailor those services so that they are relevant and engaging – and to do this we have set up a survey to find out more about you, such as what experience and qualifications you have and your thoughts on teaching as a career choice.
It’s also your opportunity to provide feedback on our services. How could they be improved? What CPD seminars do you need? Are they good value for money? What are we missing and what are we doing well?
To complete the short feedback survey, please click here.
Don’t miss this opportunity to shape the future development of IoS Training and Membership services – the survey is open until 24th September 2014.
